Job Description
What does it look like to be a Finance partner for a $200B+ growing startup? At Amazon, Finance has the unique challenge of stewarding and bolstering tremendous business growth through applying financial acumen, objectivity and leadership. Finance drives direct impact by being a hand-in-hand business partner in measuring and executing on our long term strategy to invent on behalf of our customers. To do so, we look for exceptional candidates who possess the leadership to influence, a bias for action, and the passion to think big while diving deep. The challenges we tackle span multiple functions, all powered by the same mission—to be Earth's most customer-centric company.
We are looking for a Financial Analyst for the Fulfillment Center/External Fulfillment (FC/EF) operations team who will be given significant responsibility from the start to drive both business and financial decisions. Financial Analysts are expected to evaluate and quantify new business ideas, execute controllership and reporting for their businesses, and perform data-intensive analyses, all to drive meaningful change and improvement to the way we serve our customers.
Finance is all about the numbers…unless you work at Amazon; it’s knowing the numbers and so much more. Enthusiasm and energy help us deliver new ideas, and solutions. We help others understand finance and are *the* trusted business advisers by employing every facet of data and communication to ensure our partners and our leaders have the most up to date and reliable information to help them make the best possible decision.
This is a perfect position for someone who works fast and smart. You are a brilliant observer and things that just don’t look right catch your attention. You enjoy working with different people and are a strong communicator. Your experience has taught you how to avoid sticky predicaments, and you are good about avoiding the mess, sooner rather than later. You know which details make all the difference, and which ones don’t add value. You know the difference between spending time wisely and wasting time. Come teach us a few things, and we’ll teach you a few things as we navigate the most customer-centric company on Earth.
The role will be based at our Osaka headquarters with occasional travel to locations across Japan.
