**About the Role**

We’re looking for a senior communications professional to lead our communications efforts in Turkey. The role will be based in İstanbul and will report into our Head of Communications Middle East and Africa

**What You'll Do**

01. Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts and industry influencers.
02. Design high profile corporate and consumer campaigns for Uber
03. Manage corporate issues and crisis
04. Work with beat reporters on a daily basis, juggling a combination of proactive and reactive communications efforts that protect and enhance Uber’s reputation
05. Work collaboratively with other functions, including marketing, policy and business
06. Coach leadership on external communications strategies, make sure the communication team acts as a strategic partner to the business
07. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand voice across all external communication channels.
08. Manage relationships with external vendors like PR agencies
09. Act as a spokesperson for the organization, representing the company in media interviews and public speaking engagements.
10. Measure and report on the effectiveness of external communication efforts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
11. Be passionate for doing comms at Uber, where we get to shape the conversation around the future of mobility

**What You'll Need**

1. 8+ years of communication experience in consumer facing businesses with a proven track record of managing complex communications and issues management
2. Strong media and influencer network
3. Experienced at going beyond media relations to reach our audiences
4. Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to experiment in order to learn and identify creative solutions
5. Ability to build relationships cross-functionally
6. Ability to balance critical thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail, in the face of frequent inbound enquiries and other requests
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
8. Excellent news (and overall) judgment, as well as exceptional writing and communications skills
9. Fluency in both English/Turkish

**Bonis Points If**

1. Experience doing comms in mobility, FMCG, consumer tech. Ideally, a combination of working in a globally matrixed organization and fast-moving smaller ventures.
