Content Test Specialist, ASCI, ASCI Variable HC
Job Description
As a Content Test Specialist, you test and act as a point of contact for mid-sized components and features. You are responsible for the test execution and quality of these components and features. You are trained in more than one test method and process. You use existing test methods to redefine SOPs where needed with guidance from DA III or your manager. You document how the test should be run, you observe the procedure when it is run, and fine-tune.
You share your feedback on the quality of test instructions and may participate in test coverage reviews. You diligently collate, track, and report progress on key metrics agreed to with respective stakeholders (e.g., QA, development) specific to your functional area. You raise defects (per the guidelines defined) and own bugs until closure. You perform root cause analysis for issues that fall in the purview of your defined scope of work. You adhere to the benchmark defined for defect validity. You perform defect analysis, help prioritize, and escalate issues in areas in your scope. You participate in knowledge sharing sessions for new features or process changes and share learnings with the team.
You audit test execution and issues raised by the team to ensure compliance with defined guidelines, provide feedback as applicable and track deviations using standard and defined tools. You are accountable for device and accessory management. You use appropriate tools to audit the assets tagged to the project periodically and ensure adherence to policy and physical availability. You contribute to weekly quality review discussions with involved teams, highlighting issues and potential risks. You identify improvements that help project key metrics such as productivity, defect leakage, quality in work assignments, errors, mismatches and process gaps. You contribute to the simplification of task instructions, create process documentation (e.g., wiki, SharePoint). You understand the basics of the testing methodologies and best practices used in your domain. You use this knowledge to improve team processes and to contribute to the growth of others.
Basic Qualifications
Basic qualifications
• Proficient in English (advanced/Native), in verbal and written skills. • Proficient in Spanish language, both verbal and written.
• 1+ years of professional experience in executing test cases for software or devices.
• Ability to understand basics of software testing or hardware devices like tablets and smart phones.
• Comfortable communicating on emails and across multiple-management levels.
• Solid organizational skills and team player.
• Prior work experience in testing and/or operations.
• Attention to details and ability to root cause important issues impacting process or customers.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong working knowledge of basic business software like Word, Excel etc.
• Knowledge of web technologies like basic Java, other code language, etc. or Software testing environment
• Proficient in Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, German or French
