Job Description
We are looking for a Head of Automated Channels for the Amazon Mexico business to drive growth for the Amazon Mexico Stores via automated (performance) marketing channels.

We are looking for a marketing leader who likes to use technology to improve the customer experience and make a meaningful difference to how our customers shop online. Critical missions of Automated Marketing team in Mexico are 1) to drive traffic and create innovative marketing programs in new and existing channels to make Amazon the most preferred shopping and entertainment destination for customers in Mexico, 2) to provide the best-in-class customer experience with highly personalized engaging marketing programs to help our customers make purchasing decisions, 3) to educate and attract new customers to Amazon overall and specific offerings, and 4) to dive deep into data to gain insights and optimize marketing programs.

The Head of Automated Marketing plays a critical role in realizing these missions, leading various online marketing functions for Amazon.com.mx, managing and improving the marketing programs in Search Marketing (e.g. Sponsored Links, Google Shopping Ads, and Search Engine Optimization), Social Media Advertising and Mobile App Marketing. They will also be responsible for driving innovation by owning internally developed automated marketing products and platforms by leveraging the Amazon’s cutting-edge technologies. This position is one of the key senior leaders in the Mexico Marketing and Prime organization. The impact of this role is significant and broad, accounting for a large percentage of all amazon.com.mx new customers, traffic and sales. The position reports to the Head of Marketing, Prime, and Customer Lifecycle for Amazon Mexico.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead formulation of Automated Marketing strategies for Mexico, including identifying key target customer segments, competitive environment, our program’s strengths and areas to invest for future innovations
• Manage, improve and innovate marketing programs, such as Mobile App Installs, Sponsored Links, Google Shopping Ads, Search Engine Optimization, and Social Ads.
• Drive topline while managing marketing budget, meeting ROI criteria.
• Deliver results and help Amazon meet or exceed goals in sales, profitability, new customers, and various high-value Amazon programs such as Prime membership and Mobile App engagement.
• Work directly with tech teams across Amazon to define and get new development projects on tech roadmap
• Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with the category leadership to achieve shared goals.
• Work closely with central Automated Marketing stakeholders and technical resources to ensure the company’s infrastructure, architecture, and site features support and enhance the effectiveness of Automated Marketing team’s programs.
• Identify the unique opportunities and challenges in Mexico by leveraging learnings from customer insights
• Share and learn worldwide best practices to mutually help worldwide marketing teams achieve goals.

Basic Qualifications


- 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required
- At least 8+ years of professional background
- Fluent in both, English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications


- Experience leading primary research studies across various methodologies: online quant surveys, focus groups, 1:1, ethnographies, online qual, mobile
- Experience with various statistical techniques (regression analysis, coefficient correlation)
