Job Description
The AWS Developer Experience team is seeking a LATAM Community Manager; in this role you'll be at the heart of building and nurturing technical communities across Latin America. You’ll lead AWS User Groups, orchestrate AWS Community Day events, and develop innovative programs that help developers enhance their cloud skills. Your days will be diverse - from strategizing with community leaders and reviewing AWS Community Builders applications to collaborating on AWS Summit activities and participating in local meetups. You'll own the community advocacy strategy, measure its impact, and adapt programs based on community needs. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on community engagement to create lasting connections between AWS and passionate builders across LATAM.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead and execute the LATAM Community advocacy strategy, fostering engagement with developers and builders seeking to advance their AWS and cloud computing skills
• Drive growth of established community programs across LATAM, including AWS User Groups, AWS Community Builders, AWS Heroes, and AWS Community Day events, while developing innovative regional initiatives to meet local needs.
• Track program effectiveness through key metrics, provide regular updates to leadership, and adapt strategies to align with evolving community requirements and business objectives

Basic Qualifications


- 6+ years’ experience in developer relations and community management OR Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR Completed Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing technical communities and organizing developer-focused events, including meetups and conferences.
- Proven track record of leading multiple concurrent projects and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, within technical and business settings.
- Ability to travel throughout Latin America to support community initiatives and events.

Preferred Qualifications


- Knowledge of AWS services and cloud computing ecosystem
- Data analysis skills for tracking and interpreting community engagement metrics
- Established presence and network on developer-focused social media platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively in Portuguese, within technical and business settings
