Linehaul Manager, Transportation Management
Job Description
TR operations is seeking a dynamic Linehaul Manager to spearhead the operations of its expanding network. This exciting role offers the opportunity to manage the middle mile network in TR, where one will drive operational excellence by managing key performance metrics, optimizing resource utilization, ensuring on-time shipments, and leading strategic capacity planning. The role will be pivotal in launching new initiatives, adopting innovative technologies, and implementing continuous process improvements, shaping the future of logistics for TR.
Key job responsibilities
- Monitor and control critical Cost to serve and performance metrics such as fill rates, on time arrivals, and touch points/shipments.
- Collaborate with ROC, and carriers to manage the ordering and cancellation of trucks, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Lead the activation of new connections as part of the expansion strategy.
- Manage the reactivation and deactivation of additional connections, ensuring seamless integration into the network.
- Ensure the timely arrival of shipments, meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs).
- Implement strategies to minimize delays and optimize transit times across the network.
- Develop and execute capacity planning strategies for both BAU and peak periods.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan for peak periods, and ensure sufficient capacity is available to meet operational needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation and optimize the performance of the logistics network.
- Support implementation of Programmatic initiatives, tech adoptions across for cost and efficiency in the network and collaborate with stakeholders on seamless launch of new initiatives across the network.
A day in the life
A day in this role involves monitoring key performance metrics, coordinating with teams on truck scheduling, and ensuring sufficient capacity across lanes. You will work on short term plans on the activation of new connections, manage capacity planning.
The role will require you to troubleshoot operational issues. Additionally, you'll strategize and implement new initiatives, optimize for cost and efficiency through internal and external stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in program management, operations management, logistics or related field
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level
- Bachelor's Degree
- Business level of Turkish and conversational level of English
