We are pursuing consumer products because we believe it will drive meaningful show awareness/buzz with more tangible, curated ways to interact with our most popular content and in effect, drive long-term revenue. We want licensed merchandise to help promote our titles and build them into franchises so they become part of the Zeitgeist for longer periods of time. This role requires someone to take on the responsibility of creating and executing Netflix consumer products licensing and marketing programs for the APAC region based on the Netflix originals content slate.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our partners to maximize the marketing that they do and align with the marketing that we do at Netflix
- Partner with external stakeholders (e.g. retailers, licensees) and internal stakeholders (e.g. Netflix local cross-functional teams, global teams) on the development, execution and amplification of marketing programs across all the priority markets in APAC
- Define the right marketing & media mix to amplify partner marketing campaigns (i.e. in-store communication, to e-commerce, social channels etc)
- Be an internal and external champion of the opportunity and vision with regards to our marketing strategy and push for innovation and out-of-the box ideas
- Partner with agencies and creative teams from writing creative briefs, concept development, production to the asset delivery as well as managing budgets
- Serve as main marketing contact for partners on all marketing approvals
- Manage multiple partner marketing programs at once within a very fast paced environment, and give creative direction when needed for partners
- Guarding the attribution, usage and representation of the Netflix brand and owned/licensed titles in partner marketing assets
- Demonstrates strong leadership through self managing projects and keeping the team informed
- Communicates with and solicits feedback from internal stakeholders regularly
- Prioritizes workflow effectively
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in English and Korean (Japanese is a plus)
- Demonstrated, 5+ years of experience in building brands working on 360 marketing campaigns with various production outputs including TVCM/digital films, digital/social, influencers, pop-up/events
- Account management or traffic/operations experience in a marketing/advertising agency or production house would also be a suitable fit
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
- A self-motivated and self-managing individual who thrives under a high degree of freedom
- Experience in launching brand collaborations is preferred
- Global mindset
- Entertainment experience is a plus
