**About The Team:** Since launching the service in Japan in Sep. 2016, Uber Eats has become deeply rooted in the local food culture, both shaping and celebrating it, and helping small and large businesses connect with customers.  We have seen incredible customer love and acceptance over the past seven years of Uber Eats in Japan. **About the Role**

We are looking for a Scaled Merchant Growth Manager to join the Japan Uber Eats. You will help us achieve our strategic goals by conducting in-depth analysis, developing GTM plans and leading subject matter projects to drive growth in the Scaled Restaurants portfolio. This role calls for a combination of fluency in analytical methods and languages including SQL, cross-functional partner engagement, and project management. You thrive in ambiguous environments and are a self-starter with a high degree of curiosity and a track record of data-based insight generation. The ideal candidate is a strong strategic thinker, process-oriented, empathetic, data-driven, and a self-starter with experience in both mature and start-up environments.

**Your Impact in Role:**

- Analyze and optimize sales process and performance in existing Scaled Restaurant portfolio
- Proactively identify, gather, and generate channels for driving growth in Scaled Restaurant portfolio in the Japanese market to fuel Uber Eats' continued growth
- Work with Scaled leadership to drive the overall Scaled strategy and growth for your customer segment in the UberEats business in Japan.
- Develop Go-to-market strategy in partnership with counterparts in sales, operations and strategy, build & execute an retention & development program that delivers business results and an outstanding customer experience.
- Continuously challenge the status quo with a belief that opportunities for improvement persist
- Actively participate in the team's efforts to elevate the broader team's impact and lift the Scaled Account Management strategy further

**The Experience You’ll Bring:**

- 4+ years of experience in SMB growth strategies, strategy consulting, or sales operation experience in a high-growth company
- Business acumen combined with strong understanding of the Japanese tech or restaurant industry
- Strong problem solving skills rooted in data-driven insights that guide sound decision making
- Strong aptitude with numbers and analytical skills, strategic thinking, entrepreneurial mindset
- Project management and stakeholder management capabilities. Scaling new initiatives will occur quickly and require working across Uber Eats in Japan

Preferred Qualifications :

- Fluent Japanese and Business level English (written & spoken)
- Experience in sales process optimization
- A background in business development with a digital platform in Japan
- Proficiency with SQL, or (related) programming languages
- Management consulting background is a plus
