After launching in 2015 in the United States, Amazon Business is now live in eight countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and India. We are continuing to expand, and we are looking for strong leaders to help us get there.

As the business is growing rapidly in Japan, we are executing various initiatives with-in AMXL JP's S&OP team to drive Delivery Experience and Operations Excellence for Amazon Business Customers in JP. We are looking for a motivated Senior Program Manager to drive B2B Experience across Amazon Complex Supply Chain and Fulfilment network.Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analysis skills combined with exceptional interpersonal, cross-functional and influential skills. This is a very ambiguous role requiring a pioneer mindset. You will proactively identify and resolve strategic issues, as well as secure and schedule the resources needed to deliver. You are expected to build effective working relationships with peers on the Japanese and International Amazon Business teams, and local country leaders.

Key job responsibilities
- Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks), to deliver step-changes in supply chain performance through manual processes, configuration, parameter adjustment, data backfill.
- Engage with Business, Operations, and Tech groups (AB Sales, Supply Chain, Delivery Performance, Transportation, and Fulfilment Center) to implement strategic initiatives.
- Validate and/or contribute to Tailor-made Global initiatives and features for Japan.
- Lead or contribute to re-imaging supply chain design meetings and discussions with other members of North America/Europe/Japan teams, the Amazon Business retail team, and senior leaders about how our B2B supply chain team needs to function to achieve the desired customer experience.
- Engage with Global Product Team in North America to design scalable B2B logistic solutions for Japan Topology and Business customers.
- Establish and govern metrics to better understand and monitor Amazon's program performance for AB customers of all sizes and industry, from large Enterprise businesses to Government entities, to non-profit and educational institutions.
- Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence
- Lead our efforts to improve these goals and report on plans and results to senior management.

A day in the life
You attend daily business reviews and understand what's happening to key network metrics. You spend time with strategy & ops teams to find ways to meet customer expectations. You write quality documents that seek to plan, inform & align internal stakeholders. You challenge the status quo and drive data based decision making within your team. You take business trips within and outside Japan as required to build your skills and network or test your plans and assumptions. Additionally, you are always ready to jump in and take charge when problems and challenges emerge.

AMXL JP team is a single threaded organization that owns Amazon's end-to-end Heavy & Bulky (H&B) logistics network with our willing and equally customer obsessed partners, offering shipping, service & support for consumers and companies in a safe, reliable, seamless, standardized, and sustainable way that surprises and delights our customers. Our delivery partners are experienced in H&B deliveries, providing special handling services such as Room of Choice Delivery, Installation/Assembly and Recycling/Haul-Away.

Our team is made up of a diverse group of individuals across operations, supply chain, tech, finance, planning, customer experience, business intelligence and program management that work closely and collaboratively across Amazon to constantly improve and scale our operations, always insisting on the highest standards and obsessing over delivering bigger smiles for our customers.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of overall business related work experience
- 5+ years of Program or Project Management experience (including opportunity assessment)
- Business level of English and Japanese (verbal & written)

Preferred Qualifications


- Experience defining and executing program requirements
- Master's degree
