This position is an opportunity in the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Pricing function, responsible for the development of both existing and new pricing processes and mechanisms. We are looking for a candidate who is ready to roll up their sleeves and own strategic programs and initiatives using core analytical, pricing product development, and project management skills. The projects this person would own will directly influence our partners experience with Amazon across our entire network.

Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is highly enthusiastic, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams to solve ambiguous challenges. The successful candidate must be able to effectively engage with stakeholders across various teams and locales to drive actionable solutions to unique challenges.

Key job responsibilities
· Leading strategic programs and initiatives that will drive our DSP payments program, directly shaping the way we compensate our delivery partners across JP and APAC.
· Developing processes and mechanisms that address existing shortcomings and enable us to scale our growing business.
· Conducting root cause analysis that allows us to understand the financial health of our delivery partners, and develop processes to drive these analyses at scale.
· Reporting to senior leadership on key metrics and program updates, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and recommendations.

A day in the life
This role will spend their time developing and maintaining pricing rules and tenets that drive our strategic vision, building pricing products and processes that enable that vision, and automating pricing processes to allow for further network expansion.

You do not need a background in Logistics. You do need the logical, rational thinking, skills to control complex projects with high judgement decisions, clear communication style, stakeholders’ management and ability to make recommendation required to convince a business partner and leadership that the strategy and action you are recommending is the right one. We recognize that the experience required for this role likely doesn't exist within traditional logistic companies, and we therefore welcome forward-thinking program managers, project managers and product managers from a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds to consider this role.

About the team
The DSP Pricing function is responsible for developing and maintaining DSP pricing structure, amount and methodology. It is part of the rapidly growing DSP Programs team which works to optimize our end-to-end relationships with the partners who deliver directly to our customers.

This is a hands-on low-ego team that works closely and collaboratively to improve continuously. With a high degree of mutual trust and support, we always propose a new way of working and new solution. We develop our people, expand our knowledge, share, evolve and get things done, together!

This position will work at Shinagawa office, Tokyo, Japan

Basic Qualifications


- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- 4+ years of Program, Project management or related experience
- Business level of English

Preferred Qualifications


- Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Business level of Japanese
