Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in manufacturing of consumer electrical mechanical related products.

  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to partner with local stakeholders and vendors.


Preferred qualifications:


  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, driving product launches and assembly process optimization within manufacturing operations.

  • Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the execution of service strategies related to New Product Introduction (NPI) product development of Consumer Hardware (HW) Service Operations and provide product technical support.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in understanding customers requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide products design for repairability and serviceability.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for NPI service improvement and setting product design for serviceability/ repairability goals.

  • Apply Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) fundamentals and collaborate with teams to help them in understanding and applying RCCA tools and principles and analyze failure to resolve issues.

  • Drive process design, optimization, and qualification activities of a manufacturing process for a component, part, or product.
