Job Description
Supply Quality Manager strives to be the leader in supplier quality management and ability to scale to support Amazon device engagement from CM (contract manufacturing to ODM (original design manufacturer). Key responsibilities include developing approved Suppliers for Mass Production of high quality parts. Manage suppliers in Mass Production to continuously produce high quality parts consistently, with improvement in yield quarter to quarter. Qualify and bring-up of new suppliers to support increased capacity and/or new programs (addressing all aspects of supplier process readiness).
This position is based in Shenzhen/Shanghai/Suzhou
Responsibilities:
• To be the leader in end to end supplier quality management.
• Lead the development of new suppliers or existing suppliers of Camera module to support increased capacity and/or new programs. Establish process or mechanism in driving supplier improvements.
• Set up quality goals and monitor failure rate in suppliers, drive supplier to produce high quality parts consistently, with improvement in yield quarter to quarter.
• Anticipates potential problems, identifies the root cause, and resolves performance issue and problem with cross function team in NPI and MP period that affect the reliability, manufacture ability, or availability of components.
• Work with design engineering team in project development phase and make sure material issues are monitored and timely closed.
• Develop process to early identify potential problems and improvements with design of new products, specifications, components, materials and application.
• Drive suppliers in area of failure analysis capability, including engineering resource and equipment readiness.
• Develop supplier quality team and lead the team to improve quality of Cameras for Amazon projects. Drive into Camera Sub-tier suppliers for quality review and corrective actions when necessary and needed.
• Work with commodity management team to understand and highlight areas where quality and process within a specific supplier can be improved to reduce cost.
• Co-work with engineering, GCM(global commodity manager), operation team for qualification of second or multiple sources. Review and approve request of engineering or production changes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Optical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- 10+ years’ working experience in Camera Module design, process engineering or manufacturing operation.
- Strong technical background in manufacturing process and machining. Familiar with Camera module Wire-bonding, Die Bonding, Holder-Assembly, Active-Alignment Assembly, Camera module calibration and test process, Dual Camera Assembly and Calibration.
- Familiar with at least one Camera Sub-Tier Commodity: VCM, Lens, IR Filter, Image sensor manufacture and test process.
- Strong ability to lead Camera Module and Camera Sub-Tier parts FA activities (Electrical/ Optical/Mechanical) in both Camera Integrator side and/or FATP device assembly side.
- Strong ability to lead supplier qualification and process validation, supplier development and new project launch, trouble shooting and quality improvement.
- Experienced at reading and interpreting Camera engineering documents.
- Ability to identify CTQ/CTP in products and process.
- Have capability to manage multiple development programs in parallel.
- Solid understanding on quality tools such as statistical process control, Six Sigma and Lean tools such as Pareto charts/8D problem solving, FMEA, MSA/GR&R, FAI (first article inspection), Cpk (statistical process capability), PPAP etc.
- Able to use Minitab or JMP to perform data analysis and make sound decisions from these analyses.
- Experience in implementing processes to control and monitor supplier quality from qualification stage through to mass production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Camera Module or Camera Lens design experience is an advantage.
- Camera ATE(Automation Test Equipment)development experience is an advantage.
- Familiar with 3D/Depth Camera technology: ToF (Time of Flight)Camera, LiDAR module assembly, test and calibration is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of Image Quality analysis tool: Imatest SFR/Blemish/RI/Optical Center calculation algorithm is preferred.
- Experience of Camera RAW Image analysis /trouble shooting is an advantage.
- Experience working in semiconductor industry or knowledge of semiconductor backend process would be an advantage.
- DFM, DOE, Analysis of Variance, Hypothesis Testing, Value Stream Mapping will be plus.
- ASQ GB/BB certification and CQE/CQM qualification are preferred.
