The AWS Industry Products (AIP) is chartered to build solutions that solve some of the biggest automotive technology challenges by partnering and co-developing with segment leading companies. Our team directly collaborates with strategic customers to build new, industry-specific products that directly impact and transform industries at AWS scale. We are a team of innovators that tackle difficult problems, and build products through fast iteration in a start-up like environment.
As a Technical Business Developer, you will help build and deliver an automotive-focused product sales strategy, deliver results through the development of a joint industry GTM, and identify and close large-scale opportunities with leading OEMs and Tier 1s. You will own the operations and execution of segment targets and create and maintain executive relationships across the business.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop a deep technical understanding of AWS services to effectively communicate value proposition to automotive manufactures, Tier 1s and other strategic customers.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, pre-sales, solutions architecture, and other teams to deliver compelling business and technical proposals.
• Qualify and nurture high-potential opportunities, guiding customers through the sales cycle and overcoming technical objections
• Build and rapidly expand the AIP Auto services relationship engaging with, and selling through, key SIs and industry partners.
• Drive revenue growth and service adoption to exceed program revenue and pipeline targets.
• Help build and execute go-to-market models that cover our key segments and customers.
• Interface with internal leadership and external customers at the executive CxO level.
• Closely collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including Sales, Business Development, Product, Finance, Marketing, Training, Operations and Legal.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- • 6+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling in the automotive industry.
- • Professional experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Professional working proficiency in Japanese and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- Solid experience working cross functionally with technical products and teams, understanding technical details.
- Strong analytical orientation; comfortable using data to make decisions.
- Exceptional ability to communicate with and influence executives, and both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience driving multiple tasks in highly ambiguous environments and decision processes.
- Full professional fluency in Japanese and English
- Strong understanding of Automotive software solutions
