Business Intelligence Engineer, Japan Operations - Emerging Markets

Do you want to help reinvent how Amazon does Supply Chain in Japan, Mexico, Brazil, India, and more? Do you want to be involved in optimizing all segments of fulfilment, from inventory planning to the customer's doorstep?
Amazon's ARTS team is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to contribute to regional tooling. This includes modernization of scrappy scripts, as well as building new quick-win solutions. This is an expansive role that spans multiple regions and fulfilment business areas.

Key job responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities are designing, developing, and maintaining basic applications and BI dashboards enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions. These applications may use QuickSight, AppStudio, Script Hosting platforms, or RPA. You will work with data engineers and software development teams when their expertise is required. You will be expected to make recommendations for new metrics, techniques and strategies to delight customers. You need to be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and have an ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. You will work directly with technical and business teams, locally and worldwide, to understand business problems and design solutions.

- Attend daily standup
- Work on building dashboards to drive consensus between the internal team and stakeholders
- Automate a manual process using low-code platforms and GenAI
- Keep up to date with dedicated learning time.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Business level of English (Written and Verbal)
- Comfortable speaking directly to international business users to understand pain points
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
