Job Description
This role is the Finance Lead for the Singapore Amazon Fresh businesses within Amazon's wider Grocery business. Come join us in helping change the way Amazon's customers shop their Grocery needs!

This is a unique position offering full P&L ownership and an opportunity to drive the long-term strategy of our grocery business in Singapore through partnership with Fresh leadership including the Country Manager, Category Lead, Vendor Mangers, Marketing, Inventory Management team, and Ops. Grocery is a strategic priority for Amazon, and it is very much Day 1 across our International markets, with exciting opportunities to delight customers. The candidate will be expected to be able to understand the local demands of customers, legislation and competition to help develop and hone different strategies in each of our markets.

Key job responsibilities
• Leading strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the Singapore Fresh business unit
• Managing month-end close process and financial statement preparation
• Serving as trusted financial advisor to Fresh business leaders
• Developing and maintaining complex financial models to support business decisions and growth initiatives
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects and initiatives
• Driving process improvements and automation
• Influencing decision-making through data-driven insights

A day in the life
While the role includes core Finance responsibilities (e.g. reporting and planning), the real value comes from being a strategic thought partner to the business. As such, there is no 'typical day', but you might find yourself;

- Discussing Free Shipping Thresholds with the business team, and how we can quantify the Financial trade-offs to inform senior decision makers.
- Supporting the Leadership team on a non-core S-Team or C-Team goal around (e.g.) launching new ways for out customers to shop Grocery.
- Going deep into the potential impact to the P&L from observed changes in customer behaviour, and helping formulating the CX response.
- Going for lunch with your team mates, and discussing which new local restaurant is best.
- Travelling to the EU for a conference with your INTL Fresh Finance colleagues.
- Coaching new hires in the team on Grocery fundamentals using the Amazon wide wiki you have built over the last three months.
- A 1:2:1 with the Senior Program Manager in charge of Grocery Logistics to update on progress on new reporting.
- Joining a LiFT (Learning in Finance Together) peer learning event for Finance Analysts, focused on improving your coaching skills.
- Driving business performance through leading the WBR.
