Amazon Advertising is seeking a Senior leader in Japan for our Emerging Advertising sales across Sponsored and Display Advertising. This person will lead a part of regional organization that is responsible for delighting our advertisers by maximizing the return on their marketing investment. Internally, this role will partner closely across a number of teams including Sales, Retail, Product, Creative, and Shopper Marketing. Externally, this person will drive strategy alignment with advertisers, partner with our retail and other internal teams to deliver quarterly business reviews for our top accounts in order to maximize their learning and success with Amazon, and serve as the single-threaded owner for the service model Amazon Advertising provides.

You will lead your team to be strategic consultants for each retail vertical, providing media insights and recommendations that help clients. You will leverage your experience and judgment to define organizational strategy, processes, tools, and incentives to maximize ROI and accelerate growth. You will drive execution of your strategy, ensuring that your team is consistently delivering measurable results in advertiser satisfaction, YoY revenue growth, renewal rates and other operational quality metrics. You will partner closely with sales leadership, peer leaders in the Insights and Performance organization, and product leadership to establish joint goals and strategies to drive advertiser satisfaction.

Specific responsibilities include: Develop and execute service strategies tailored to client needs, team development, and revenue objectives; obtain ongoing client and partner feedback to assess performance against organizational objectives; engage with Amazon Advertising’s leadership team and product/platform leadership to represent business results and advocate for customer needs; hire and develop a world-class team; conduct resource management and capacity planning; understand the Amazon Advertising product suite, tools, and campaign management workflow and how our broader Customer Success Team integrates with each; develop and implement best practices to drive consistently strong ROI and ease of doing business and to scale for anticipated growth.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a knowledgeable partner on Amazon Advertising’s product suite, tools, and campaign workflow, partnering effectively with internal teams to accelerate growth and leveraging expertise to add value in client engagements and senior leadership conversations
- Develop and execute service strategies tailored to client needs, team development, and revenue objectives
- Hire, coach, and develop a world-class team, empowering team members to effectively manage stakeholders, drive growth and increase advertiser satisfaction
- Obtain ongoing client and partner team feedback to assess performance against organizational objectives
- Engage with Amazon Advertising’s leadership team and product/engineering leadership to represent business results and advocate for customer needs

Basic Qualifications


- This position requires superior verbal and written communications skills in both Japanese and English
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of solid experience in digital advertising and client success roles and sales strategy experience
- 5+ years of experience in people management
- Business level of English
- 5+ years' experience in client-facing role with a strong focus on data analysis
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Tableau.
- Strong negotiating skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Proven record of attracting, retaining and growing exceptional account management and customer service professionals
