Project Manager, Payments, EU Last Mile
Overview
As Earth's most customer-centric company, Amazon's Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Management Team ensures precise, cost-effective, and timely delivery of customer orders. Our EU Payment Operations team manages €700M+ in annual payments, supporting approximately 1,000 Delivery Service Partners across 1,200+ AMZL & AMXL nodes in the EU region.
Role Purpose
This role represents a position with significant influence on EU-wide payment operations and strategic process improvements. You will lead multiple payment programs and process improvement initiatives for Amazon's Delivery Service Partners across the EU region. This #role focuses on payment operations excellence, system implementation, and strategic process improvements while managing complex payment processes and system integrations.


Key job responsibilities
Payment Systems & Operations
• Implement and manage payment processes for DSP 1.0 and 2.0 partners
• Oversee monthly payment cycles
• Execute payments and adjustments within established SLAs
• Manage up to 15+ critical input sources and 40+ vendor reports
• Resolve invoice exceptions and disputes through Logistics Support Central (LSC) / Salesforce and Invoice Portal
• Implement control mechanisms to ensure payment accuracy and DSP CSAT goals
Strategic Project Management
• Lead EU-wide payment improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including Finance, Program Management, Delivery Station Operations, Central Operations (India and Europe), Fleet teams, LMP Tech, Pricing, Business coaches, Value-Added Services teams
• Drive process standardization and automation projects
• Support new country launches and payment system implementations
Technical Operations & Analytics
• Develop automated reporting and payment tracking systems
• Create and maintain payment databases and documentation
• Generate WBR metrics and analytics
• Design data visualization for stakeholder reporting
Process Improvement & Innovation
• Lead automation initiatives to reduce manual processes
• Develop and implement process optimization strategies
• Create synergies between existing processes
• Design and implement new technical solutions
• Contribute to worldwide process standardization projects


Basic Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• Several years of experience in payment operations or financial systems
• Project management certification preferred
• Demonstrated track record of process automation and improvement
• Experience managing stakeholders at senior levels

Technical Requirements
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VBA macros, complex formulas)
• SQL query writing and database management
• Preferred Python or VBA programming capability
• Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms
• Project management tools expertise

Preferred Qualifications


- Second language knowledge in addition to English (Portuguese would be a plus)
- Proven automation/software development track record
