Your mission will be…
· Architect and Design: Develop scalable and efficient data solutions using Snowflake, focusing on Iceberg tables for optimal performance and flexibility.
· Integration: Integrate real-time data from various Siemens organizations into our data lake, ensuring seamless data flow and processing.
· Data Lake Management: Design and manage a large-scale data lake using AWS services like S3, Glue, and Lake Formation.
· Data Transformation: Apply various data transformations using dbt to prepare data for analysis and reporting, ensuring data quality and consistency.
· Performance Optimization: Optimize data processing pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
· Data Modeling: Design and implement data models to support the creation of data products.
· Security and Compliance: Ensure that all solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
· Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and application developers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
· Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of data pipelines. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.
We are looking for someone with…
· Experience: at least 5 years in Data Lake Projects, 4+ years in Snowflake, and 2+ years in AWS services bringing extensive expertise in optimizing large-scale data Projects
· Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Snowflake, including Iceberg tables, and experience with dbt. Must have knowledge of DBT, Snowflake SQL, Procedures, Snowpipes, Stages,UDF’s, Streams, Table functions
· AWS Services: Familiarity with AWS services like S3, Glue, and Lake Formation.
· Data Transformation: Expertise in applying data transformations within Snowflake using dbt.
· SQL Proficiency: Strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
· Data Modeling: Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices.
· Big Data Technologies: Basic Knowledge of big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop or Flink.
· Performance Optimization: Skills in optimizing Snowflake data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency.
· Security and Compliance: Understanding of Snowflake security best practices and compliance requirements.
· Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Experience in implementing monitoring solutions and troubleshooting issues.
· Certifications: Snowflake certifications are a plus.
