**About the Role**

Collaborates with team members to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and features for web applications that meet the design, functionality, and complexity needs of end users.

**About the Team**

As a Software Engineer on the Core Services Engineering team in Brazil, you will be a member of Uber’s first Tech Center in LATAM and part of the global engineering team!

Our team owns the platforms responsible for building the next generation of Identity, Safety, and Financial Products. As a critical part of the customer journey, we build engaging products by solving deep technical challenges in problem domains that are specific to Uber’s business.

You’ll write reliable and maintainable code that teams across the company rely on, and you will collaborate with other team members to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and features for web applications.

**Minimum Qualification**

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
- +6 years full-time Software Engineering/Front End engineering work experience
- Advanced to fluent English Skills

**Technical skills**

**Required:**

- Solid career as a Senior and/or Staff Frontend Engineer
- Proven experience in building high-quality UI for diverse audiences
- Expertise in front-end architecture design
- Background in performance optimization at the code level
- Demonstrated success in enhancing system observability, quality, and latency
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, React.js, and GraphQL
- Strong product and data-driven mindset

**Preferred:**

- Experience as a full stack developer (Go, Python, TypeScript, etc.)
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies
- Familiarity with static typing systems
