Amazon is looking for a customer focused, driven, and analytical leader to join the Mexico Hardlines team. Amazon Mexico is a fast-growing business where our business model is evolving with technology and industry trends.
The Sr. Instock Manager will own strategies to drive supply chain efficiencies and maximize sales, margin and turns. This is a critical role helping us build, manage and optimize a complex procurement system. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment, while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy. They must be highly organized, self-starting, highly analytical and thrive in a high energy environment – ideally with experience in supply chain and operations. In addition, our supply chain technology has enabled us to grow in new market segments by building infrastructure to offer millions of products to customers across North America. As the Instock leader for categories with North America Fulfillment Network infrastructure as the primary sourcing channel, you will be responsible for driving large and unique programs such as cross-border Direct Fulfillment, coordinating with partner teams on scalable improvements in inventory availability and balancing, source optimization as well as make a long-lasting impact by building a successful inventory management strategy for this business.
Key areas of focus include driving improvement in inventory availability, increasing inventory efficiency, improving purchasing automation, and reducing input costs. The Sr. Instock Manager will also be responsible for process improvements, including identifying defects, reducing waste, and improving supply chain effectiveness. This role enables you to "hit the ground running" and make transformational impact on how we manage in-stock and cost in one of the most exciting businesses. The position requires an individual with strong analytical capabilities who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.
Key job responsibilities
Improve key Instock metrics, such as Availability, Inventory health
Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health, including forecasting, purchasing, and managing down unproductive inventory
Manage relationships and lead times with vendors to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods
Develop understanding of the various sourcing channels, and implement best practices to optimize sourcing
Drive root cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, develop action plans and project manage improvements
Develop and implement audit mechanisms to proactively identify defects and drive defect reduction
Automate and improve systems to streamline operations between vendor partners and Amazon
Collaborate closely with Operations and Fulfillment Center teams for inventory management.
Hire and Develop the team of interns and Associate Instock Managers

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or certificate of completion of studies in similar majors.
10+ years of relevant senior level experience in retail, operations, and/or business management/consulting with a proven history of delivering results in roles that are highly analytical.
5+ years experience leading a team
5+ years experience demonstrating polished communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree (MBA and 3-4 years of post MBA experience preferred)
SQL/Python experience
