Sr Manager, Product Mgmt, Marketplace Recruitment & Dev

Job Description
Buying customers and sellers are our customers.

Amazon is looking for a customer-obsessed product management leader with a critical mission to make buying and selling easier and safer on Amazon Marketplace, one of the fastest growing business domains in Amazon Stores.

This role will lead a team of multiple product/program managers to dive deep into data, draw actionable insights, develop strategy, and execute with talented stakeholders across the globe. This is one of a very few roles that touches on every aspect of Amazon’s Marketplace business, working directly with various senior executives.

If you love data and have passion and prudence about doing the right thing for our customers (both buyers and sellers), we can't wait to have you join our team.

Key job responsibilities

- Partner with various teams worldwide to: 1) protect buying customers and sellers from bad actors, 2) making it trivially easy for sellers across the globe to sell on Amazon.co.jp, while 3) ensuring Amazon.co.jp continues to be compliant with laws/regulations in Japan.
- Hire and develop multiple senior-level product/program managers in the team.
- Work with BI as well as stakeholders conducting surveys to set up the right tracking mechanisms for Customer and Seller Experience for Japan.
- Develop a point of view and demonstrate thought leadership to share how we should look at our business rather than just answering given questions.
- Learn and share best practices with teams outside of Japan. If the US and EU are achieving good results, you will be responsible for learning what is working and replicating it in Japan. If Japan achieves good results, you are expected to share our best practices and insights with other regions, so we can scale our business globally.
