Job Description
This position is for a Product Manager of Amazon's private brand "by Amazon" (PB) in the Consumer Goods Division, responsible for developing and executing mid to long-term growth strategies in the Everyday Essentials category. The role involves achieving sustainable business growth through various Everyday Essentials initiatives and collaborating with diverse teams both domestically and internationally.

Additionally, the role focuses on improving customer convenience and satisfaction through various programs and service improvements while pursuing operational excellence. To achieve these objectives, the following responsibilities will be carried out, working closely with multiple internal departments both domestically and internationally, leading initiatives in Japan's consumer goods PB business in collaboration with stakeholders.

1. Development and Execution of Mid to Long-term Strategies for Everyday Essentials
Develop and execute individual strategies for sustainable growth in Everyday Essentials, including selection expansion, pricing, and inventory optimization from a mid to long-term perspective. Through data-driven initiatives, aim to build competitive product selections that meet Japanese customers' needs, implement appropriate pricing, efficient inventory management, and stable product supply.

2. Data-Driven Strategy Development and Action Plan Execution
Analyze all available information including sales data, market trends, and customer/consumer data using data science methodologies to quantitatively identify opportunities for Selection expansion, Pricing optimization, and Availability improvement. Develop specific growth strategies based on insights and deploy them as actionable plans to teams and stakeholders. Furthermore, discover new business opportunities through data analysis and implement improvement measures as needed.

3. KPI Management
Define and set targets for key business metrics crucial for continuous enhancement of Everyday Essentials, including selection expansion, portfolio health, and price competitiveness. Lead PB business growth through regular reporting to stakeholders and action plan updates.

4. Internal Department Collaboration
Work closely with division heads, domestic and international PMs, and program owners to promote initiatives for PB selection expansion and price optimization. Lead the development and execution of individual strategies while building consensus with stakeholders on trade-offs between selection expansion and inventory efficiency, price competitiveness and profit margins.

5. Initiative Leadership
Drive cross-functional projects to strengthen Everyday Essentials and deliver concrete results. Share achievements actively with teams promoting PB business in North America and EU, contributing to WW APB (Worldwide Amazon Private Brand) business goals while collaborating with WW APB teams.

Basic Qualifications


- Business-level English AND Japanese proficiency
- Data-driven decision-making capability
- Project management experience
- Experience in developing and executing business strategies

Preferred Qualifications


- Business experience in consumer goods/retail industry
- Knowledge of supply chain and merchandising
- Cross-border business experience
- Experience in data extraction and manipulation using SQL
- Experience in data analysis using Python or similar tools
- Knowledge and experience in data science, including statistical analysis and machine learning
