Sr. Program Manager, AMZL Capacity Planning

Our network of transporters is growing rapidly, and to support this growth we are seeking a Sr. Program Manager to join the On The Road Capacity Planning team in Amazon Logistics Japan.

The goal will be to drive productivity improvement in our JP AMZL delivery station network.
This role requires working with several teams across the company to define requirements and high level process/system solutions to day-to-day challenges, leading cross functional working groups to solve big problems across the network. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and impacts.
To be successful in this position, we seek an innovative and analytical leader/program manager who has the knowledge/experience in operations and has the ability to solve complex and technical problems with simple and practical solutions.
Cross-team coordination, problem solving and analytical mindset, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Key job responsibilities
• Drive strategic program management: Define, implement, and scale complex initiatives that address critical business challenges across multiple organizations globally.

• Develop and track key performance indicators: Design metrics for core programs and processes, analyze launch performance results, and ensure delivery against program objectives.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate with stakeholders to launch new projects, manage change requests, and improve processes across the organization.

• Enhance operational efficiency: Innovate and implement scalable processes, tools, and services to support business growth in volume, complexity, and global reach.

• Facilitate effective communication: Develop and disseminate documentation on new/updated programs, policies, and processes to leaders, employees, and cross-functional teams.

• Optimize global operations: Work with international teams to improve onboarding processes, share best practices, and contribute to market growth across regions.

A day in the life
As a Sr. Program Manager at AMZL JP, your day revolves around optimizing delivery network efficiency. You analyze data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Collaborating with international colleagues, you share insights and align on priorities. You work closely with Operations, Finance, ACES, Tech, BA solving complex problems to enhance productivity. Leading cross-functional efforts, you develop and implement innovative solutions. You craft compelling roadmap for senior leadership, translating data into actionable strategies. Your focus remains on driving AMZL's success in Japan while ensuring customer satisfaction through improved logistics operations.

Basic Qualifications


- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
- Business level of English

Preferred Qualifications


- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Basic understanding of SQL
