For those with an interest in Amazon’s Private Brands business, this role provides an exciting opportunity to dive deep into data, work with suppliers across the globe, uncover defects and process improvement opportunities, and design and implement long-term solutions in collaboration with product, quality, operations, transportation, and customer service teams. In this role, you will learn how we identify and vet suppliers globally, and qualify vendors capable of producing high quality product for our customers. In your second rotation, you will move to the Product Sourcing Team where you will actively manage our ongoing supplier relationships, honing your negotiation and P&L management skills. After completing both rotations you will have developed a strong understanding of Amazon’s end-to-end sourcing process and how our private label products come to life.

Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Identification of suppliers partners: understand business development demand, including supplier capability gap identification, industry supplier landscape scanning, supplier selection capability assessment and execution.
- Drive for continual improvement and innovation in our supplier identification and management processes.
- Track new supplier performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tools and productivity.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 4+ years in product management/product development/global sourcing/business development/project management/supply chain, and other related fields.
- High attention to detail, comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills.
- Proficient in Excel and SQL.
- Fluent in English and Chinese for business communication. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
- Great English writing skill.
- Has strong interest in the procurement function and is willing to dive into business operation

Preferred Qualifications


- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
- Experience in industry research. B2B market intelligence and consultant background is a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
