Job Title: Tax Professional

Report to: Head of Tax, Japan

【Purpose】

  • Supports Head of Tax Japan for the tax controlling, strategic planning and compliance with local tax laws as well as Siemens Healthineers internal policies.
  • Performs a full range of tax activities for an assigned organization, in order to optimize the Tax position of assigned unit.

【Dimensions of Function】

The Tax Professional is primarily responsible for a) b) c) of the following tasks.

  • a) Preparation of tax returns, e.g., corporate tax, consumption tax, etc., and tax reports (domestic)
  • b) Coordination with internal departments including overseas group companies
  • c) Tax audit handling
Depending on experience and skills, and the career wished to pursue, the tax specialist may be involved in international taxation, domestic taxation, or a dual role in the following areas
d) Transfer Pricing
e) Handling domestic and international tax issues for domestic and international group companies (all areas except payroll related)
f) Cross-border reorganization (share transfer, liquidation, reorganization, etc.)

【Authority/Responsibility】

Responsible for the following duties and reports to Head of Tax Japan:
 ・ To ensure full tax compliance of assigned legal entities in Japan, consult with an external tax consultant to effectively support the healthcare business. 
 ・ Check the local country compliance with tax department policies and procedures.
 • review decisions made by other individuals on more routine matters. Work is broad in scope covering several departments within the Siemens Healthineers organization. 
 • Partnership with M&A, Legal, Accounting, Stategy departments, HR, etc. required.
 * Leads a variety of assignments, clarifying objectives. 
* Determines the principles and techniques to be employed. 
* Coordinates the preparation of tax returns, examines accounts. 
* Calculates taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations by required deadlines. 
* Cooperates with tax advisors in order to optimize tax burdens. 
* Manages or contributes to preparation of Financial statements and tax declarations. 
* May act as first accountable point of contact for tax authorities. Independently researches and analyzes key issues. 
* Provides financial accounting staff with technical tax advice and assistance. 
* Prepares reports and studies for management as requested. 
* Corresponds and negotiates with tax officials at a tactical level."    

    
【Job Requsition】
Must to have:
 ・ 3+ years of tax consultant experience at ""Big 4"" or equivalent accounting firm and who have passed partially the Zeirishi (Certified Public Tax Accountant) Examination (at least 1 accounting area and 1 tax laws' area).

Nice to have:
 ・ Qualified tax accountant holders
 ・ Tax compliance experience of a company subject to the size-based taxation and having a many branches"    
 

【Skills &Experiences】
  •  Knowledge of specialised principles or techniques normally obtained through a four year college/university academic program or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program directly related to the type of work being peformed.
  •  Advanced knowledge of domestic and international tax for a multinational entity subject to the size-based taxation and having a many branches
  •  Basic knowledge of IFRS/Local GAAP
  •  Finacial Statement analysis skill (Advanced)
  •  Communication skill (Basic)
  • Target Agreement skill (Basic)
  • Japanese Native level & Business English
