Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) seeks a Transportation Program Manager to spearhead our First Mile program across Mexico's Fulfillment Center network. This strategic role will orchestrate inbound transportation operations, optimize carrier relationships, and drive innovation in our rapidly expanding logistics network. The ideal candidate will combine analytical excellence with hands-on operational expertise to transform complex supply chain challenges into scalable solutions. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance network efficiency, implement data-driven performance measures, and develop innovative strategies that elevate our transportation capabilities. This position requires both tactical execution and strategic vision, as you'll be responsible for developing both immediate operational improvements and long-term network optimization solutions. Working closely with carriers and internal teams, you'll drive best-in-class logistics solutions that support Amazon's commitment to operational excellence and customer obsession in Mexico's dynamic transportation landscape.

Key job responsibilities
1. Champion collaborative initiatives across organization, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering scalable results through effective stakeholder management and tactical execution.
2. Architects and implements innovative logistics solutions that optimize the nexus of customer experience, delivery speed, technological advancement, and cost efficiency.
3. Strategically prioritize and sequence initiatives through collaborative engagement with stakeholders, leveraging data-driven insights to align project priorities with business objectives.
4. Establish clear roadmaps that maximize resource utilization and deliver optimal business impact
5. Proactively identify and bridge operational gaps across teams, processes, and systems to mitigate potential failure points.
6. Implement robust strategies that address common pitfalls, including documented procedures to enhance effective cross-functional collaboration.
7. Demonstrate intellectual agility in converting ambiguous situations into actionable solutions, anticipating potential obstacles before they impact operations as roadblocks.
8. Partner with program managers, business leaders, and executives to drive strategic alignment and champion critical business initiatives. Deliver compelling communications that translate complex operational insights into actionable business narratives, ensuring key stakeholders remain informed and engaged
9. Design and implement comprehensive KPI frameworks that provide actionable insights into Inbound Transportation automation, tracking critical metrics and project milestones. Develop data-driven reporting systems that enhance visibility across operational performance, enabling informed decision-making and demonstrating clear progress toward strategic objectives while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

A day in the life
Transportation Automation Projects:
1. Drive end-to-end transportation automation initiatives by establishing clear milestones and measurable deliverables for inbound operations.
2. Architect the implementation roadmap for technological solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems while maintaining operational continuity.
3. Lead strategic planning and execution of automation projects that enhance network efficiency and scalability.
4. Identify process gaps and mitigate roadblocks in the final process mapping design, aligning process improvements with IB stakeholders
Network Performance Monitoring:
1. Real-time monitoring and analysis of critical transportation metrics, including On Time Arrival, CPS, DEA, and Dwelling times. Leverage data-driven insights to proactively identify network disruptions, implement swift corrective actions, and maintain optimal operational performance across the transportation network.
2. Assure there are no major disruptions affecting network performance
3. Develop and maintain carrier service levels aligned with Amazon operations
4. Generate positive partnerships to enable processes oriented mechanisms driven by customer obsession
5. Systematically documenting business review outcomes (DBR, WBR, MBR), capturing key achievements, and synthesizing lessons learned into actionable insights. Transform operational experiences into best practices, creating a comprehensive knowledge base that drives continuous improvement and enables scalable success across the transportation network.
6. Drive innovation on scenarios proposed for daily/weekly/monthly follow-up
7. Orchestrate a holistic approach to transportation excellence by optimizing operations, elevating network performance, nurturing strategic carrier partnerships, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives

The candidate will interact with cross functional stakeholders from Finance, FCs, Transportation, Supply Chain Planning, etc. ATS First mile team works under the vision of building the world's most customer centric transportation network, enabling Amazon to reliably and efficiently deliver products to customers at a level of service that exceeds their expectations. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Spanish and English Fluent
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
